What Our Learners Say
These are honest accounts from people who worked through our programmes. We've shared both positive experiences and the more nuanced ones.
From Our Learners
Zainudin Azri
IT Support Technician, Johor Bahru
"I came in knowing nothing about Python and was honestly a bit nervous about keeping up. The first few sessions were dense, but the exercises helped things click. By week six I had something working that I was genuinely proud of. The feedback on my code was specific — not just 'good job' but actual notes on what to improve."
AI Foundations Programme · June 2025
Siti Wahida
Data Analyst, Kuala Lumpur
"I had basic Python before starting the ML Engineering Track and was looking for something that went deeper than the usual online tutorials. This did that. The code reviews were the most valuable part — seeing how a mentor reads your code and suggests cleaner approaches taught me more than any video lecture could. The pace was quite challenging by weeks 8-10, but that's probably right for the level."

Raj Chandrasegaran
Software Developer, Penang
"The Advanced Programme is demanding but that's what I needed. I have three years of software development experience and wanted to move into ML engineering properly. The capstone project took up a lot of time in the last month, but that's what a capstone should do. I finished with a project I could talk through in detail — model design decisions, deployment choices, the tradeoffs I made."
Advanced AI Programme · June 2025
Nur Khairunnisa
Fresh Graduate, Shah Alam
"I did the Foundations Programme right after finishing my degree in computer science. There was some overlap with what I already knew in the first two weeks, but after that it moved into areas I hadn't covered practically before. The mentor feedback on my final project gave me a lot to think about before I started applying for roles."
AI Foundations Programme · July 2025
Amirul Hakim
Business Analyst, Johor Bahru
"I enrolled in the ML Engineering Track after finishing the Foundations Programme. Having that base made the intermediate content easier to follow. The small-group mentoring sessions were something I wasn't expecting to find useful but they ended up being where I learned the most — hearing how other people approached the same problem and having those approaches discussed by the mentor."

Lim Mei Ling
Operations Manager, Selangor
"I came into the Foundations Programme with no technical background at all — just curiosity about what AI actually involves. The first two sessions were difficult for me but Nurul took time to explain things at a different level when I needed it. The programme isn't easy if you're completely new, but it's manageable if you put the hours in."

Learner Journeys in Detail
Zainudin — Foundations to ML Engineering
IT Support → Data-aware engineer · 5 months
Starting Point
Zainudin had worked in IT support for four years with no coding background. He wanted to move into data work but didn't know where to begin or whether he had the right background to manage it.
The Programme
He started with the AI Foundations Programme and worked through Python basics, data manipulation, and a supervised learning project over eight weeks. After a short break, he enrolled in the ML Engineering Track.
Where He Is Now
After completing the ML Engineering Track, Zainudin moved into a junior data engineering role at a local logistics firm. He credits the portfolio projects from both programmes as the main thing that helped him make the case for the move.
"Having actual projects to show made a real difference. I could explain what I'd built and why I'd made certain choices."
Siti — From reports to models
Data Analyst → ML practitioner · 3 months
Starting Point
Siti was already working as a data analyst using Excel and some SQL. She had learned Python on her own but struggled to get past data cleaning into anything resembling machine learning.
The Programme
She joined the ML Engineering Track directly, which the team confirmed was the right level for her. The weekly code reviews helped her break habits from self-teaching and understand why certain approaches work better than others.
Where She Is Now
Siti now handles model prototyping alongside her existing analytics work. She's built two internal tools at her company using the methods from the track and is planning to enrol in the Advanced Programme later this year.
"The code reviews changed how I write Python. I stopped thinking about making things work and started thinking about making them clear."
